Animal Pricing
Pricing varies breeder to breeder as we all may value things a bit differently. Sometimes pricing can vary significantly between two apparently similar animals, but there is much that goes into figuring out value. To attempt a standardization, I have now created a rough pricing guide for my animals. This may adjust over time depending on how it works out.
Base Pricing Categories
Base pricing is primarily based on the following categories:
Pattern Color Coverage: amount of color coverage showing, that always is there fired or not
Color Intensity/Saturation: the higher the better
Structure: exceptional structure (typically crowned or exaggerated horns) raises value
Base Color: clean vs not clean, base color intensity and white base vs a middle tone
Uniqueness: oddball/mosaic/unusual or stand out patterning can also factor in
Lineage: this plays an important role in determining the animal's genetic potential. High color lineages = more likeliness of carrying stronger color genetics
Sex: nice males typically are higher than comparable females, but average males are less
Age/Weight: Larger/older animals are typically more colored up and priced higher than younger. But growth rate also a factor (see discount below)

Individual Discount Considerations
When there is an additional factor to consider that could reduce value of the animal, here are my standard discounts. It is hard to nail down a single number as these typically are based on a range of scale. If multiple discounts are applied, they are not added together, but applied individually. The smallest is applied first, followed by the next, etc. I will round to the nearest $5 interval, I don't like change or whole numbers not ending in 0 or 5.
Lineage unknown: sometimes females lay the same date, which makes it hard to determine exact lineage. If I cannot be 100% certain on parents, 5% (female), 15% (both parents unknown)
Age/Weight ratio skewed: depending on severity, 5%-15%
Missing toes: depending on mobility impact, 5% (none) - 20% (severe)
Handle difficulty: only applicable in extreme cases (handle rating 5 and below), 5-10%. Most animals can be tamed down with patience, but some are predisposed to be extra difficult to handle. These typically are best in display enclosures with minimal handling
Retired Breeder: these are perfectly functional animals, but typically a little older and pet only home preferred, 20-30%
Pet only: typically a physical or genetic issue/concern. Discount depending on severity, rating 1 (minor/no impact) 50% , rating 2 (moderate impact) 60%, rating 3 (severe impact) 70%-80%
