Terms of Service
Email is the preferred method of communication, and all emails are generally responded to within 24 hours Monday-Thursday. I am often unavailable to respond over the weekend, though not always.
Payment
All pricing listed are in USD. Zelle and Venmo are my preferred payment method, followed by PayPal. I can also accept Money Orders, Personal Checks (must first clear the bank process), cash (if local), and Credit Card over the phone. I do not like that last method, but if you must pay with a credit card over the phone, email me for a contact phone number and we will schedule a call. Please only if no other options work though. I will not write down or record any of the information you give me over the phone. All information will be run over the phone and you will receive payment confirmation immediately. If you need to send a money order or check, please contact me at [email protected] for an address. Mailed methods of payment must clear the bank prior to the animal/s being shipped.
All sales are final but should you wish to cancel an order, 25% of the animal cost is non-refundable (see section regarding cancellations below). PayPal no longer refunds processing fees so that amount will also be subtracted from your refund balance unless the original payment(s) had no fees (sent friends and family). If you would like to switch from one gecko you've already put a payment down on, I reserve the right to retain the deposit for that animal as it is technically an order cancellation. It is inconvenient for me and unfair for others; to read more scroll down to order cancellations for additional information/description.

Holds/Payment Plans
I will hold an animal only upon receiving a non-refundable down payment of 25% (amount will be rounded up to the nearest whole dollar) or $50 (whichever is more), with completion of payment within two weeks (I must be aware of your plans (and agree upon it) prior to payment). No gecko will be put on hold status until this is received and geckos are sold on a first come first serve basis. For purchases over $400 a payment plan is acceptable. In this case the max plan is 8 weeks and I require a payment every two weeks after the deposit, so 5 payments total. After the deposit amount, the amount paid on each payment doesn't matter as long as it is over 10% of the gecko cost (rounded up to the nearest whole dollar) or $50 (whichever is more), and the order is paid in full by the end of the plan. I will require the payments to be made on schedule to continue the hold in addition to a $25/month holding fee (if plan extends beyond two weeks) to cover food and care expenses. This fee is per order, not per gecko. Failure in keeping up with the payment plan will forfeit a hold (without prior approval) and the animal/s will be re-listed for sale. In such a case, the non-refundable 25% deposit and applicable care holding fee/s will be kept and the remaining funds paid will be refunded. In the case of needing a refund for a purchase prior to shipment, 25% is non-refundable (amount will be rounded up to the nearest dollar). Most gecko breeders do not offer a refund in any form other than some will give gecko/store credit only. So the partial refund thing is new here, and may change if taken advantage of. The animal/s will not be shipped until payment has been completed, arrangements for shipping have been agreed upon by both parties and shipping temperatures are within range (30-90 degrees Fahrenheit) for all locations. Shipping
Prices do not reflect shipping costs. Shipping is variable (generally between $55-$85 depending on distance, location, box size etc.), so please send me an email ([email protected]) with your zip code to get a shipping quote. Please keep in mind that shipping prices may fluctuate with the weight and size of the box, the distance to ship and the time of year. I use ShipYourReptiles.com (FedEx Priority Overnight) so your animal/s will arrive the following day by 10:30 am in most cases. Zip codes that are categorized by FedEx as urban, rural or remote will receive deliveries by 10:30 am, noon or 4:30 pm respectively. I'm generally pretty good at notifying you of the expected delivery window for your location when a shipping quote is requested. Delivery days can be arranged for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only, as temperatures allow. We will work out the date via email in advance. I do not require a signature for delivery as they sometimes have timid knocks and don't wait long for you to open the door. Then when they don't receive a required signature, the package ends up being on the delivery truck for the remainder of the day and becomes available for pickup only after 3 pm. That is why it is important that you are available to receive the package anytime between 8:00-11:00am (or your applicable delivery time window). If the package is exposed to the elements for extended periods of time, it may result in the animals declined health or death so it is essential that you are there when the animal arrives (see guarantees below).
Shipping Insurance: Shipping insurance is not covered in shipping costs and SYR chargers $2.50 per $100 covered. If you would like shipping insurance coverage for a package, I will cover half those costs, so charge $1.25/$100 covered. In the case of a package delay, shipping insurance will cover the replacement value up to the cost covered, but does not include the shipping costs. If you do not have shipping insurance and something happens to the package, I can not be held responsible. (see more on guarantees below)
I can ship in temperatures between 35-82 degrees Fahrenheit to a home location, and 25-100 degrees to a FedEx Ship Center for pickup. I take into consideration the temperature and weather of hub cities along the shipping route. If necessary, a heat pack or cold pack will be included to ensure safe shipping at no additional charge. If temperatures are towards the extremes on the receiving end, then we must ship to your local FedEx facility with a hold for pickup in a temperature stable building, and there is a possibility of requiring an upgraded box for extreme temps. I can look this location(s) up for you.
We can not be responsible for carrier delays, but we will work with you to keep you informed of updates. Keep in mind that, although rare, there is a slight chance of having a 24 hour shipping delay in transit. Generally this is a result of weather grounding planes (such as thunderstorms, weather advisories, etc), holiday shipping, FedEx backups and occasionally mechanical issues with planes. I do my best to predict such events (except the mechanical issues...) so that we can avoid increased risks of delay. If you do experience such a delay, usually the package will be delivered the following day. All animals receive an electrolyte solution via dropper prior to packaging to avoid dehydration and delayed packages are held in temperature controlled areas.
Everything is shipped from a smokeless home, but not fur-less. Please forgive any random pet fur that has snuck into a shipping box.
If you are located locally (Northern Utah), then we can arrange to meet up to avoid shipping costs. I would like to not drive for more than a half hour out of the way of Cache County through Northern Davis County. Weekends generally work better for me when going out of Cache Valley.

International Shipping
Covid really changed our access to the international market through the companies we used. We can only ship to US locations so any international shipments need to be pre-arranged by the buyer through a third party exporter. I am hopeful that things may open back up again, or that we may establish a relationship with a new service provider so we can easily begin international transports again.
For shipments into Canada, we use Reptile Express. We also have a contact with the ability to ship to South Korea so inquire if
you are interested in getting set up with an importer for this service.
As a note, international shipments are charged a 3% transaction fee if payment is sent via PayPal (unless friends and family). I do prefer wire transfers. If there is a transfer limit and multiple payments need to be sent, there is a $18 service charge for each payment sent after the first. Holds longer than two weeks will have a $25/month hold care fee for 1-5 geckos, a $50/month hold/care fee if 6-20 geckos are ordered, and a $100/month hold/care fee if 21+ geckos are ordered.

Guarantees
Live arrival is guaranteed for shipping temperatures of 30-92 degrees Fahrenheit. If I deem temperatures safe for shipping, you are guaranteed. Some conditions may apply such as picking up from a shipping hub within an hour of open time if temps are extreme (84+ high or 32- low), which will be discussed prior to ship. If the package was scheduled for a pickup and the package was not picked up within the specified time, or within three hours of opening if no time was specified, then guarantees are void. If there is an issue with the newly arrived animal delivered/picked up on time, whether it's health related or has deceased please contact me within 2 hours of the arrival time with photographic proof for a full store credit or suitable animal replacement. The animal/s may need to be shipped back, and I will split the shipping costs. I can't control carrier delays. If a late package is dead on arrival (DOA), and you purchased insurance (option can be selected on my questionnaire), then you are covered for either a credit to be applied towards another gecko or a full refund (minus the shipping cost). If the package is delayed, and no insurance was purchased then there is no coverage in that case.
I cannot control the animals care and living conditions after it has left my facility, but I am confident in my geckos' health. Therefore, animal health is 100% guaranteed for 7 days. If you believe that your animal is sick, you must contact me as soon as possible so the situation can be quickly remedied. If your animal happens to pass, I will need photographic proof; an image of the topside and underside of the gecko will be needed along with a few additional questions answered and images of the enclosure. This health guarantee does not include outside injuries such as cat attacks, injuries resulting from being dropped, enclosure instabilities, etc. Tail drops are also not guaranteed. I give extra hydration to all my geckos prior to shipping. Dehydration is not covered after the first 96 hours (4 days) after receipt. This is a keeper problem that can progress very quickly and is out of my hands. If you have ANY concerns about your gecko, PLEASE contact me so we can find the issue before it becomes a problem. I want my babies to thrive! Shipping fees are not refundable.
Color: Please keep in mind that there are variations in monitor color, but I try my best to get representative photos of my animals. I add in a watermark on all pictures, but do absolutely no touch up or digital alteration of the gecko or photo itself in any way. Gecko color changes with different factors including environment, stress, time of day, mate availability, etc (check page: Individual Gecko Color Variations for more info). Coloration also tends to change as a hatchling matures into an adult. Coloring tends to get better and more intense often working in surprises as the gecko ages (see page: Color Progression). If a gecko has genetic possibility for a specific coloring, it will be noted in the animal's comment section.
Sex: Any gecko sold as male or female is guaranteed to be sexed correctly. Any gecko sold as possible (~70-85+% confidence) or probable (~90+% confidence) is NOT guaranteed. It is the best guess I have at the time, which could change as the gecko grows. Pore sexing is done with a 60x LED lighted loupe and I am very accurate.

Returns
There are no returns on live animals, they are not a product. Unopened and undamaged product (slightly folded food bags ok) can be returned, but buyer will be responsible for the shipping expense. Refunds on these products will be given upon arrival and inspection.

Non-refundable payments are standard in the reptile industry, and my terms are actually more lenient than most others. Some breeders will only issue an amount as in-store credit only, some breeders will not refund any amount paid. Re-stocking fees are standard across retail due to the extra work incurred in making the item available again. Here are a few additional reasons why the 25% is non-refundable, which are not all-inclusive:
1) When an animal is placed on hold (or outright purchased), there is a lot of work that goes into making preparations. I put a lot of time into getting paperwork/exams completed and compiling together everything for shipment. This goes back to re-stocking fees; again, standard across retail and the reptile industry. I put a lot of time into fulfilling your order.
2) If a customer wishes to purchase an animal, but ends up going with their second or third choice animal because their first choice is on hold or sold, it is unfair to them for the animal to suddenly become available again.
3) It discourages individuals from putting money down on an animal they don't know they want for sure. I've had issues in the past with people backing out of an order simply because they had buyers remorse, or suddenly they feel they needed the spare cash for something else. There have also been customers who have backed out because of participation in an online FB animal auction, which is really unfair to me and my time.
If you wish to cancel the order due to a delay in me shipping out as a result of temperatures, 25% + original PayPal fees is still non-refundable. Animal safety and health is my number one concern. I am happy to reschedule the delivery for a future date that would work for you (Tuesday-Thursday) as long as temperatures cooperate.
If a disagreement cannot be worked out without litigation involvement, I require that any dispute to be adjudicated in Utah.

Pricing is subject to change, although once a deposit is received the listed price becomes "locked". I reserve the right to change my terms at any time. I try to be as fair as I possibly can, but I need to be sure to protect myself, my business and my animals.
